The approval is the halfway mark. Here's how bulk stays on the approved standard.
Once a sample is approved, the job becomes keeping thousands of metres on the same standard and getting them where they need to be on time.
Before production starts
- Book yarn and greige capacity against the delivery date.
- Confirm the approved standard, the shade band and the test standard in writing.
- Agree the inspection system, commonly the 4-point system, and the pass mark.
During production
We follow dyeing and finishing lot by lot. Each lot is checked against the shade band and the agreed weight and width before it moves on.
- 4-point: inspection system for fabric defects
- 10%: of rolls inspected is a common minimum
- 1: transaction certificate per certified shipment
Before it ships
Final inspection, packing list and roll labels are checked against the order. Then the shipment is tracked to the garment factory's door, and the factory is told what is arriving before it arrives.
